The much-anticipated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is now scheduled for inauguration in June 2025, as announced by Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani. This marks a slight delay from the previously planned launch on April 17, 2025.

Sharing his enthusiasm for the project, Adani posted on social media:
“A glimpse into India’s aviation future! Visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport site today—a world-class airport taking shape. Set for inauguration this June, it will redefine connectivity & growth.”

A Game-Changer for Mumbai’s Aviation Infrastructure

The Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd (NMIAL) is spearheading the project, a joint venture between Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) and the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), with a 74:26 partnership.

Estimated at ₹16,700 crore, NMIA is designed to decongest Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and accommodate the surging air travel demand in the region. Once operational, it is expected to boost regional connectivity, economic growth, and international trade opportunities.
