Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) to Begin Domestic Flights in April 2025

Domestic flight operations from the much-anticipated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) are scheduled to commence in April 2025, as announced by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. In response to the rising demand for air travel, Pawar also proposed the construction of a third airport for Mumbai near Vadhvan Port in Palghar district.

Third Mumbai Airport Proposal: A new airport is being considered near Vadhvan Port in Palghar to manage increasing air traffic in the region.

Shirdi Airport Enhancements: Night landing facilities will soon be introduced at Shirdi Airport, improving operational capacity and efficiency.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station: The upcoming Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will have a dedicated station near Vadhvan Port, further enhancing connectivity in the region.
