Pune International Airport is on the brink of a major transformation as it prepares to shift all flight operations to its New Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) starting March 5, 2025, at 2 AM. This marks a significant milestone in the airport’s expansion, enhancing its capacity and passenger experience.
Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, expressed pride in this development, stating, “The new terminal is a testament to our commitment to modernizing Pune’s aviation infrastructure and providing a world-class travel experience.”
Key Features of Pune Airport’s New Integrated Terminal (NITB)
Spanning 52,000 square meters, the NITB is designed to meet global aviation standards with state-of-the-art amenities. Some of its standout features include:
- 10 Aerobridges for seamless boarding and deboarding
- 34 Check-in Counters and 25 Self-Check-in Kiosks for faster processing
- 5 Baggage Carousels, including 2 dedicated for international arrivals
- Enhanced Passenger Capacity, allowing the airport to handle up to 9 million travelers annually
With this modernization, Pune Airport is set to become a premier hub, improving air travel efficiency and enhancing connectivity for both domestic and international passengers.
