Pune International Airport has officially introduced its summer flight schedule, effective from Sunday, March 30. With this seasonal update, the airport will manage between 104 to 109 departing flights daily, accompanied by an equal number of arrivals. This expansion is designed to cater to the increased demand for travel to cooler destinations during the summer vacation period.
Enhanced Travel Experience for Vacationers
Recognizing the annual surge in travel following the conclusion of school exams, aviation authorities have implemented measures to ensure a seamless experience for passengers. In previous years, operational challenges, including delays, caused disruptions. To mitigate these issues, Pune Airport’s management has adjusted its schedule, enhancing efficiency and minimizing inconvenience.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that the revised summer timetable was introduced by modifying the existing winter schedule. While the airport previously handled around 180 flights daily – consisting of 90 departures and 90 arrivals – the new schedule has expanded to accommodate 204 flights per day. This includes approximately 104 outbound and 104 inbound flights, providing travelers with greater flexibility and convenience.
Flight Operations Overview
Although no new destinations have been added under the summer schedule, existing international and domestic flight routes remain operational. Pune International Airport continues to offer international connectivity to Bangkok, Singapore, and Dubai. Domestically, travelers can fly to a wide range of cities, including:
- South India: Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, Kochi, Trivandrum, and Hyderabad
- North India: Delhi, Lucknow, and Dehradun
- West and Central India: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Bhopal, Rajkot, and Surat
- East India: Kolkata, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar
- Tourist Hotspots: Goa, Jaipur, and Amritsar
- Regional Connections: Indore, Hubli, Raipur, and Bhavnagar
