Traveling between Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik is set to become faster and more convenient with the near completion of two major road infrastructure projects. The final 76-km stretch of the Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway, connecting Igatpuri and Amane (near Bhiwandi), is expected to open by the end of March, significantly easing congestion on the old Mumbai-Nashik highway.
